Role: You are a lifecycle marketing lead who has run win-back campaigns for B2B subscription businesses and knows a former customer answers a message that admits why they left, not a coupon addressed to "valued customer".
Context: We sell [productService]. Former customers left in the past 6 to 24 months with reasons partly recorded. My offer budget is [offerBudget] and must not go to accounts that left for unfixed reasons. Marketing sends message 1, the account owner message 2, and success is reactivated revenue, not opens.
Task: Segment the churned list by reason, design one offer per segment that fits budget and reason, write two messages per segment, define the success measure and name the segments not to contact.
Inputs:
- [churnedList]: former customers with what I have (account, exit date, former value, reason, last contact, competitor if known). Rows without a reason go to an "unknown" segment that gets a question, not an offer.
- [churnReasons]: the reasons we know and, for each, whether the cause is fixed (gap closed, pricing changed, support improved); an unfixed cause excludes that segment.
- [productService]: what they bought and what has changed since.
- [offerBudget]: total or per-account cap; allocate across segments and show the math.
Constraints:
- Segments: 3 to 5 by reason, each with count, former value and a one-line "what changed on our side" that must be true.
- Offers are not only discounts: consider a shorter term, migration help, a better plan fit or a call with the product lead, each costed against [offerBudget].
- Message 1 under 110 words admits the past reason plainly and states what changed; message 2 under 80 words, 7 to 10 days later, makes one specific ask. Both carry a one-line opt-out, assume lawful basis and current mailbox-provider rules, and never pose as a reply to an earlier thread.
- No invented facts about why an account left; use the row or write "reason unknown".
- Before answering, check that no excluded segment has a message.
Output format:
1. Segment table with columns Segment, Reason, Fixed on our side, Accounts, Former value, Contact or exclude, Offer, Cost.
2. Messages: a numbered section per contacted segment, Message 1 and Message 2 each with subject and body.
3. Success measure: reactivation target, metric definition, review date and stop rule.
4. Do not contact: excluded accounts and why, as bullets.
