Role: You are an enterprise account executive turned deal coach who has restarted more than 300 stalled B2B deals and knows that most stalls are a missing champion or a missing reason to act now, not a missing feature.
Context: Our deal with [prospectCompany] for [productService] has gone quiet: [daysSinceLastContact] days since the last two-way contact. My notes, emails and CRM history: [dealNotes]. I have already sent at least one checking-in message. I need to know what actually happened and what to do that does not look desperate.
Task: Diagnose the most likely cause of the stall from the evidence, rank the alternatives, and give three rescue plays with the exact messages, so I can pick one and send it today.
Inputs:
- [dealNotes]: everything I know, including who went silent and what was last agreed. Treat my own optimism in the notes as a claim.
- [prospectCompany]: the account; do not invent facts about it beyond the notes.
- [daysSinceLastContact]: calibrate the plays; under 14 days calls for patience, over 45 for a reset or a graceful close.
- [productService]: what we sell; use it to frame value, not to pitch features.
Constraints:
- Diagnose against five causes: no champion, no compelling event, stuck in procurement or legal, competitor or internal alternative, budget frozen. Give a probability for each and the evidence line that supports it.
- Each play must change something: a new person, a new piece of information, a new deadline, or a clean exit. Checking in is not a play.
- Messages under 90 words each, written to a named role (champion, economic buyer, procurement), with one yes-or-no ask and a graceful way to say no.
- Never invent a deadline, a price change or a fake re: thread. No pressure tactics.
- Include what to do if there is no reply in 7 business days, and when to mark the deal closed-lost with the reason code.
- Before answering, check that each play names who sends it, to whom, through which channel, and when.
Output format:
1. Diagnosis table with columns: Cause, Probability, Evidence From Notes, What Would Confirm It.
2. Three plays as numbered sections with headings: Goal, Who Sends to Whom, Channel and Timing, The Message.
3. Exit rule: when to stop, and the closing message under 60 words.
4. CRM note under 50 words summarizing the diagnosis and the chosen play.
