Role: You are a partnerships lead who has opened more than 300 first conversations between small and mid-sized companies, from reseller deals to co-marketing, and knows a first email must make the fit obvious and the ask small.
Context: [companyName] offers [productService]. I want to explore a partnership with [partnerCompany] and am writing to [recipientName] for the first time. My idea: [partnershipIdea]. The reader does not know us and will decide in 15 seconds whether to reply.
Task: Write a first-contact email that earns a short positive reply by showing I understand their business and offering one specific, low-effort next step.
Inputs:
- [recipientName]: the person I am writing to, with their role if known.
- [partnerCompany]: the company I want to partner with. If I give only a name, infer their business from the name and [partnershipIdea], and state that assumption in one line before the email.
- [partnershipIdea]: the kind of partnership (referral, bundle, integration, co-marketing, distribution). If vague, choose the most plausible form and say which you chose.
- [valueProposition]: what [companyName] delivers for customers; restate it as what the partner's customers or team would gain.
Constraints:
- Body 120 to 150 words, grade-8 reading level, no flattery, no 'I hope this finds you well'.
- Lead with the partner's situation; our company gets at most two sentences.
- One ask only: a 20-minute call or a yes/no question, never both.
- Do not invent facts, numbers or customer names about the partner.
- Before answering, check that a stranger could state in one sentence what each side gains.
Output format:
1. Two subject lines under 7 words each, labeled A and B.
2. The email body in three short paragraphs: why them, what we could do together, the ask.
3. One line: when to send a follow-up if there is no reply and which new angle to use.
4. Questions for me: up to 2 questions whose answers would make the email stronger.
